I offer three levels of service for my clothing and home décor sewing:
Completely Custom: This is the most personalized service available, and requires multiple appointments in my studio in Central Pennsylvania. We begin with a consultation involving design, style, proportion, fabric selection, garment details, pattern drafting, adjustments, etc. The process involves taking measurements, developing a fitting muslin before cutting your fashion fabric, and as many appointments as is necessary to assure the perfect fit. This can be a long, involved process and not necessary for every job, but every facet of your project is guaranteed.
Made-to-Measure: No appointments in my studio, since you provide all the measurements. I can help guide you with fabric selection, and provide the basic notions needed. I make all the pattern adjustments necessary from your measurements. There are no fittings for made-to-measure, but you should be able to get a proper fit with some alterations.
Straight-from-the-pattern: Most economical service available. No consultations or pattern adjustments - you just send me a “kit” with all the materials, including the notions (thread, interfacing, zipper, buttons, etc.) along with the pattern with the size you’d like me to make circled, and I make it, start to finish, and send it to you completed. This service is not recommended for pants or any tightly-fitted garments, since the fit is not guaranteed, and alterations could be pricey, or not even possible. This service is suggested only for loosely fitting garments, or for clients providing a pattern they know already fits well. A familiarity with fabrics also helps provide a garment with the appropriate drape and flow.

Sample prices are for labor only for the most basic of designs.
- I assess a 25% surcharge for working with silk, velvet, chiffon, embellished fabric, plaids, extra-wide fabrics, etc.
- Any style details (pockets, pleats, belt loops, lining, overlays, etc.) add to the total cost of the project; please call for an estimate on your particular garment.
- Rush projects (with deadlines allowing less than one month between delivery of all materials needed and requested delivery date) are subject to a 50% surcharge.
